BBC Breakfast July 2017

People in the Trusted User Group explain how they are benefitting from TIHM in a broadcast featured on BBC Breakfast this week. Phillip Bell and his wife, June, from Farnham, are part of the Trust User Group and have been trialling some of the devices which include our Safe Mobile Care digital solution. June said: “The technology is already making us more aware of our health and what steps we can take to stay well. When you are recording your blood pressure and oxygen levels every day, you start thinking about what you can do to improve those readings.” Her husband Phillip said: “Our aim is to spend as long as possible in our home and to try and avoid needing A&E. We believe the technology used in this study could help us with those aims.”

The Trusted User Group is made up of people with dementia and their carers from across Surrey and North East Hampshire who have been trialling the technology prior to the study going live. The group will run alongside the main study and provide ongoing user feedback.
